Our primary focus is Electrical Certificates of Compliance. We also complete any remedial work needed to bring your installation up to standard.
CoC Inspections
Full visual and functional checks, polarity, earthing, bonding, DB compliance and test readings. Detailed report with photos where applicable.
Repairs & Rectification
Fault finding, rewiring of unsafe circuits, replacing damaged fittings, correcting isolations, earthing and bonding to meet standards.
Distribution Boards
Labelling, surge protection devices, earth leakage units, circuit breakers and neat rewiring for compliance.
Appliance & Outdoor
Stove and geyser isolators, pool and gate motor supplies, outdoor lighting and sockets rectification.
CoC FAQ
What is an Electrical CoC?
A legal document stating your electrical installation was inspected and complies with SANS 10142-1 at the time of issue.
How long does it take?
Most homes take 60–240 minutes for the inspection. Reports are ideally issued the same‑day or the next‑day. Repairs, if needed, add time for when access is given.
What should I prepare?
Ensure access to the DB board and all rooms, electricity is on, prepaid tokens available, and pets secured. Ensure that you have globes/bulbs in all light fittings. Where day/night sensors are installed, take photos of lights working at night for record purposes.
How long is a CoC valid?
The initial certificate remains valid as long as the installation isn’t altered. Alterations require a supplimentary CoC certificate to be issued. For property sales, conveyancers require an initial certificate not older than 2 years.
Do you handle remedial repairs?
Yes. We provide a clear list of faults and a quotation. On acceptance of the quotation, we complete the work to bring your installation into compliance.
